Library brochures:

These should be printed (not photocopied) onto glossy paper. The file is in the shared network folder.

I can add a shortcut to the folder onto your desktop when you are logged into your computer (please ask me to do this!).

I recommend printing one copy first to be sure it is printing double-sided and not upside down on one side :)

You can put glossy paper into the regular tray, or use the bypass tray (not sure how? ask). Glossy paper is on the fabulous bookcase with other paper back by the supply cabinets.

Lucky Day books:

New limit: 2 checked out at one time. Our collection is a bit bigger and being added to regularly. Let me know if this change appears to be causing a problem.

Senior Community Room:
Rec is scheduling lots of events and drop-ins starting in April -- hopefully the space will be drawing in lots of folks soon. You can see information and the schedule here: https://www.strathamnh.gov/parks-recreation/news/senior-community-room-0. I'll be posting some calendars on the bulletin board and have them out for people to grab.

Sam will be doing scheduled tech help in the Senior Room (yay, Sam!). This will start in April with two sessions: April 4 and April 22, both at 2 pm. If something changes in this schedule, will let everyone know.

COVID Rules in Library

No changes in library requirements as of today. The Select Board was going to review the Municipal Center status and signage at their meeting last Monday - I don't know if any info about that has made it down to the library? I haven't checked in on that to pass the information onto our Board.

If you have questions about your own situation or just the library in general - let me know. I also want to hear how you are feeling about everything. Lots of changes all the time and that can certainly be stressful.

Communications/Conflict Resolution:

I'm glad we could all be there on Friday for the team day.  I loved hearing where everyone was born and grew up and hearing how much we appreciate each other. Plus - it was so fun just to be in one room all together.

I don't have any information yet on what will be happening next. The structure included an initial phase of information gathering and individual conversations, a phase with an off-site team building day, and then a phase involving skills learning. In between the team day and the next phase, Amanda submits a summary report to the Board of Trustees and I think from there will be setting up additional trainings. I don't know when she plans to submit the report to the Board but I don't think it will be long. If/when I hear anything about scheduling, I'll let you all know.

Phones:

if a phone is acting strangely - can't answer it, drops parked calls, etc. - please write down what happened, which extension, and the date and time and let Sam know. Lee can go into the logs and maybe figure out what the problem is.

iSolved: Time sheets due

From now on, please submit/verify your time card no later than the Friday before the end of the pay period.

For some reason, iSolved sometimes locks the time sheets early Monday morning or even on Sunday. The dates coming up as deadlines will be:
Friday, 3/18
Friday, 4/1
Friday, 4/15
Friday, 4/29

Town Office Doors

We are going to open up the doors to the Town Offices as we used to do. This will be more convenient for residents (and make it easy for Town Clerks to encourage people to come down to get a card) and if patrons go through there to use the bathroom or the hot water dispenser the door won't be locked behind them. David and I are looking forward to re-connecting our spaces.

We will need to close and lock these doors when we close. Whoever is opening, please be sure to unlock and open both doors (hold open with the magnet locks).

Team Day - Friday (3/11).

Just a reminder that we're having our team day this Friday at 9:15 am at the Firehouse. There will be coffee/tea/breakfast snacks and lunch (pizza, etc.).

Don't forget our "homework" to bring some item that is meaningful or says something about you that you don't mind sharing. [I did forget until just now! yikes!]
Amanda's original invitation information is at the bottom of this email.

Masks: I'm asking all of us to wear masks (except while eating) so that everyone can feel as secure as possible.

Masking in library:
After the change to the State/Public Health mask guidelines, we are changing our signs to read: Welcome! Masks Encouraged. After some discussion, the Board agreed on the word encouraged.
I'm putting these up basically now.
